Each year, the MOC-Floyd Valley Foundation sponsors an Employee/Volunteer of the Year. A picture of the recipient is displayed in all 4 MOC-Floyd Valley school buildings and the Central administrative office.


Marilyn Korver is being recognized as the Volunteer of the Year at the Hospers Elementary School for her dedicated efforts in volunteering in the Kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms. She helps individual students and small groups, reviews skills, plays games, listens to them read and reads AR tests with some students. She joins Hospers every Thursday and then enjoys taking her grandchildren home at the end of the day. The Foundation salutes her for being a valued volunteer of the District.



Mikkell Baker is being recognized as the Volunteer of the Year at the Orange City Elementary School for her time and dedicated effort in one of our 2nd grade classrooms. She is also the new chairperson of the Orange City Elementary School Parents Group. We appreciate all the work and time she devotes to the students and teachers at Orange City Elementary! The Foundation salutes her for being a valued volunteer of the District.



Becki and Scott DeKock are being recognized as the Volunteers of the Year at the MOC-Floyd Valley High School for their time and dedicated efforts in supporting the P.O.D. Band Program. Becki has served on the Band Board for many years. Scott volunteered to build and donate two carts(for equipment) for the band program this past fall. They both have chaperoned many Saturday Band trips. The Foundation salutes them for being valued volunteers of the District.
