Each year, the MOC-Floyd Valley Foundation sponsors an Employee/Volunteer of the Year. A picture of the recipient is displayed in all 4 MOC-Floyd Valley school buildings and the Central administrative office.


Kelana Groendyke is being recognized as the Volunteer of the Year at the Hospers Elementary School for her dedicated efforts in volunteering in the classroom, assisting teachers with accelerated reader tests for first grade students and helping students with review skills and make-up work. The Foundation salutes her for being a valued volunteer of the District.



Amy Dahl is being recognized as the Volunteer of the Year at the MOC-Floyd Valley Middle School for her dedicated time and effort in volunteering to accompany the Middle School choir and orchestra. The Foundation salutes her for being a valued volunteer of the District.



Rob Meerdink and his therapy dog Sunday are being recognized as the Volunteers of the Year at the Orange City Elementary School for their dedicated efforts in volunteering in the classroom by reading with students. The Foundation salutes them for being valued volunteers of the District.



Dan Roghair is being recognized as the Volunteer of the Year at the MOC-Floyd Valley High School for his dedicated efforts in serving as the Band Board President and coordinating the playing of the National Anthem, the flag presentation and music at all of the home soccer matches. The Foundation salutes him for being a valued volunteer of the District.
