Course Descriptions

High school students in the MOC-Floyd Valley system continue their exposure to traditional educational content. Students develop and focus their unique abilities and interest in areas that will shape their future. Within the context of the state mandated 44 credits required to earn a diploma, students have great freedom to construct an academic program that speaks to their future hopes and plans.

Students learn both through traditional classroom work and hands-on experiences in the community with attention given to career awareness and exposure. A full-time guidance counselor regularly meets with students to help develop an academic program that meets their unique needs.

Wide-ranging extra curricular activities are available to give students additional experiences in their talent and interest areas. These include: baseball, softball, cheerleading, cross country, football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, golf, track, intramural, band, orchestra, choir, all-school play, speech, F.F.A., S.O.D.A., Physics Olympics, annual, National Honor Society, class officers and Student Council.
