Baking Powder Biscuits
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. Baking powder
½ tsp. Salt
⅓ c. shortening
⅔ c. milk
  1. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  3. Add milk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.
  4. Turn dough out on a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 4-5 times.
  5. Roll dough to ½" thickness; cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter.
  6. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
