Chocolate Revel Bars
Crust
½ c. butter
1 c. packed brown sugar
½ tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1¼ c. flour
1½ c. quick cooking rolled oats
Set aside 1 T. of the ½ c. butter
In a large mixing bowl, beat the remaining butter with electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar and baking soda. Beat until combined, scraping side of bowl occasionally. Beat in egg and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much flour as you can with mixer. Stir in any remaining flour and rolled oats.
Filling
1 T. butter
¾ c. semi-sweet choc. chips
½ can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Combine the divided 1 T butter, choc. chips, and sweetened condensed milk. Cook over low heat until choc. pieces are melted Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Assembly
Pressed 2/3 of crust mixture into the bottom of greased 9x9 pan. Spread filling evenly over top of crust. Drop remaining crust mixture on filling in random order.Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes or until top is lightly browned.
