I graduated from Oostburg High School in Oostburg, Wisconsin before moving to NW Iowa where I attended Northwestern College. In 2002 I graduated from NWC majoring in Elementary Education with endorsements in reading and special education. In 2014 I earned my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Morningside College. I had the privilege of being a substitute teacher for MOC-FV for two years before earning my position at Hospers Elementary in 2004. At HES I taught 4th Grade and 2nd Grade. At Orange City Elementary I've taught 4th grade and I am currently teaching in the Resource Room at OCE and loving it!
Life outside of school:
My husband, Joel, is a sixth grade teacher at Alton Middle School. We live with our daughters, Becca and Greta, and son, Andrew, in Orange City and attend Trinity Reformed Church. We love spending our free time together as a family. We also enjoy attending sporting events, taking trips to Wisconsin, shopping, biking, baking, and reading.
