Mr. Mangold is currently in his first years as Co-Director of Bands at MOC-Floyd Valley High School in Orange City, IA. His responsibilities include directing the 11th-12th grade concert band, Jazz II, teaching lessons, and one of the directors of the Pride of the Dutchmen Marching Band. Prior to moving to the high school Mr. Mangold served as the Director of Bands at MOC-Floyd Valley Middle School and as Assistant Marching Band Director of the Pride of the Dutchmen Marching Band for six years.

Mr. Mangold graduated from Sioux Central High School, Sioux Rapids and went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA. He also holds a Master of Music degree in Music Education from the University of Northern Iowa.

Mr. Mangold plays trumpet with the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra and is the director of the Orange City Area Community Band. He was pit orchestra conductor for the 2015 Tulip Festival Night Show production.

Mr. Dan Mangold is currently in his sixth year as the Middle School Band Director for the MOC-Floyd Valley Community School District. He directs the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade concerts bands, as well as the 6th grade marching band and Middle School Marching Band. In addition, he serves as an Assistant Marching Band Director for the Pride of the Dutchmen Marching Band and director of the MOC-Floyd Valley High School Full Orchestra.

Prior to his coming to MOC-Floyd Valley, Mr. Mangold served as Director of Bands at Sioux Central Community Schools in Sioux Rapids and 5th-6th Band Director at Albert City-Truesdale Community Schools.

Mr. Mangold graduated from Sioux Central High School, Sioux Rapids, and went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Northwestern College in Orange City. He also holds a Master of Music degree in Music Education from the University of Northern Iowa.
