I began working for the MOC-Floyd Valley CSD in August of 1993. I consider myself fortunate to teach in this district and am grateful for the outstanding students that parents in this community have raised.

As a math teacher, I have taught most every course sometime over the years. Presently my responsibilities include calculus, statistics, computer programming and advanced web design.

This year I am spending half of my day providing technology support. This often includes repairing computers, re-imaging computer and maintaining portions of the website.

One of my hobbies is designing and implementing databases. The more I have learned about them, the more I see how they are valuable they are.

I am tremendously blessed with a wonderful wife (Melissa) and six growing children (Josiah, Simeon, Ezra, Evelyn, Lucas, and Joseph).

I lived in Wisconsin for the first two years of my life before my parents then moved to Nairobi, Kenya as missionaries on the campus of the University of Nairobi.

We returned when I was five and my father began farming in rural Glidden, where he continues to farm today.

After graduating from Glidden-Ralston, I attended Northwestern College, earning a degree in mathematics and a secondary education endorsement while participated in football and choir.

After graduating mid-year, I lived in Irkutsk, Siberia for a semester as a short-term missionary. Upon my return, I accepted a job at MOC-Floyd Valley. I spent nine years coaching h.s. football, four years in h.s. girls basketball, and am currently coaching h.s. track & field.

My wife, Melissa, and I have six children: Josiah (Mar 2003), Simeon (Nov 2004), Ezra (Aug 2006), Evelyn (June 2008), Lucas (June 2010), and Joseph (Jan 2015). We are enjoying the busy task of raising our children.
