I graduated from M-OC High School. I received a B.A. in Elementary Education, a minor in Physical Education and a coaching endorsement from Northwestern College. I received my Masters degree from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota in 2002. I began my teaching career at Platte Christian School in Platte, South Dakota where I taught for three years. I taught 5th and 6th Grade for seven years at Orange City Christian. In 1998 I began teaching second grade at Orange City Elementary School.
Life Outside Orange City Elementary
I'm married to Jeff, who is an Assistant Director of Admissions at Northwestern College. We have two children, Sean and Jennifer, who are students, and a dog named Payton. We are members of Trinity Reformed Church, where I teach Sunday School and am active in Bible study. Our family actively participates in the Tulip Festival. I enjoy exercising, reading, doing Creative Memories, and being with family & friends.
