I was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, IA where I participated in golf, cheerleading and various school organizations and Linn-Mar High School. I then moved to OC to play golf (go Raiders!) and take the opportunity to study abroad in Granada, Spain. After graduating with a degree in Spanish Education and Psychology from Northwestern, I moved to Osage, IA and taught one year. I then moved back, got married and settled down in Orange City. I taught Spanish for 3 years in Le Mars then started at MOC-FV in the fall of 2007. I graduated with my MA in Education and TESOL from Buena Vista University in 2008.

My husband and I have 2 children, Jacob (May 2007) and Isabella (April 2009). I enjoy cooking, traveling, golfing, and spending time outdoors. We especially love the football and basketball seasons and cheering for the Dutch and the Oklahoma Sooners!

I truly feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful school and community!
